About

Welcome to the TryBeta.com Blog.

My name is Paul Levine, Co-founder of TryBeta.com.

For the past 7 years I have been making it easier for Mac users to design, develop and promote web sites through my software development company RAGE Software.

Since 1999 a key piece of advance I have heard over and over is;

You have to beta test your software. Find willing users to send your software too and ask them to test it. You can even give them a free version to help motivate them.

Since 1999, I have also heard and experienced the following;

Finding good, reliable beta testers is extremely hard. We don’t know their experience with computers, we don’t know their background knowledge, and most importantly, we don’t know if we will ever hear from them again.

How can we find users willing to beta test our software before we send it out to the public? How can we be sure these testers have the experience and knowledge necessary to use our software and understand that it is not a final version? How are we going to make sure we have a stable product ready to release to the public?

TryBeta.com was developed to achieve this. It was developed so that software developers can find the beta testers they need and insure their software is of the highest quality. Secondly, TryBeta.com aims to make this resource affordable to the the microISV who don’t yet have the ability to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars, hours, and resources creating a sufficient beta testing program.

TryBeta.com will allow you to finally take the advice to beta test your products properly and deliver a quality, stable product to your customers.
